Progress

About once a year I go through my sort of State of my Union address and take inventory of where I am in relationship to where I was and where I am going. Since money is what makes this little ship of mine float it is worth noting for future reference. It is neither here nor there to you so you can skip this entry.

As it turns out, since buckling down after Christmas, I have paid off roughly $6000.00 of credit card debt. I now owe nothing to Olsen, Dillards, Burdines- Macy's, or Victoria's Secret. I am well on my way to having paid off the Care Credit tab and the scariest part of the Orthodontist is nearly over as I have a plan for them in place now. As far as I know I am in good standing with all three of the major assholes I owe money to. From now until September I will have paid off an additional $5000.00. This includes paying off a mortgage for a house I have not owned for nearly five years, Jake and all Jake's nonsense since being purchased, and our recent spectacle spending spree. That doesn't include the roughly $1800.00 I will have paid already to the orthodontist between now and September toward the $4900.00 set of braces Logan is about to be glued to.

Still, it's progress.

Amount of money applied to my "Kiss my ass I bought a boat I'm goin' out to sea" fund: half a mason jar full of change. Having priorities sucks.
