See You See Me

Terry and I went to the eye doctor for the first time in many many years Monday afternoon. It was determined that there is a very good reason I can't see to drive at night and that oncoming headlights blind me. It is also clear now why I cannot see some street signs I should be able to see. It also makes sense now why I have trouble seeing the ingredient lists on Jamba Juice's menu clearly even though I can see the bold titles of the smoothies. I am a tad near sighted these days. Hence, I will be picking up my new glasses next week. I had all the options added to them like anti-reflective coating and transition lenses so that when I am driving and have to wear them they will also be sunglasses. This is handy in Florida where 90% of the time you are out in the sun. On the not so bright side, this made my glasses hella expensive. Oh well. I don't have to wear them all the time. Just those certain times when I know I am straining my eyes. I mentioned to him that being on the computer a lot gives me headaches. He said that the computer puts a tremendous strain on our vision. I suspect it is probably a leading cause of my eyes going bad. Mofo computer :(

Terry, on the other hand, already couldn't see jack without his glasses. Now he has to have a new prescription and he has to go in for some more tests. I am a bit worried about him. However, we picked some new frames for him that I think are going to look very good on him. You will be able to see his eyes more clearly with the anti-reflective coating and the fact that they are rimless. I wonder if being able to see his eyes more clearly in his glasses now will make me get the same little butterflies in my belly as when he looks at me when he isn't wearing glasses. He has very beautiful eyes. The kind that make girls kind of blush when they are staring at you.

I had my eyes dilated while I was in there so by the time we were picking out frames I couldn't really see much within four feet of me so I am not sure what we are going to look like in them. It was like having beer goggles on. We could've looked like total asses for all I know. I trust Terry though and he helped me pick from three or four frames in the Sexy Librarian catagory that I was trying on.

Logan has an appointment to have his exam tomorrow evening. He mentioned today that getting glasses and braces all in the same year would be weird for him. I told him that if he should have to get glasses that we would pick him out some really handsome ones. Secretly, I agree it would be totally weird. It is as if we are all going to look different all at once.

I think we should consider also getting the girls a more comprehensive exam than they have had at the pediatrician. I wasn't aware that the screening they do there isn't really good enough. Now I am a little paranoid that they all need to be checked.

This is the year mom and dad stay completely flat ass broke thanks to dentists and eye doctors.
