School went fairly painlessly today. Pictures will come shortly of the tribe's first day of the 2001-2002 "school year". We were at it all of an hour before we threw out the schedule I worked so hard on. But that is what hard work is for right? We made some really cute paper sack puppets today. Learned the short "A" sound and how to classify things into groups. We also learned about Princess Juliana from Holland fleeing to Canada during WWII and them helping her country and about her gift of hundreds of thousands of tulip bulbs and the annual festival of tulips that Ottawa celebrates. We learned about measuring in feet, yards, and miles. We learned all sorts of stuff.
I am fairly on my own this evening as my monkey is being wined and dined...I won't go into it. It is painful.
