Monday we start our school year again. As the oldest little person requested, I developed a schedule. I am wondering if it is the right thing to do. I guess it will help make the days go faster if we are busy trying to keep to it. We will be resuming where we left off in the third grade curriculum, and according to my calculations we will be finished with "third grade" by the third week of September. I never dreamed that we would go through this material so fast. We aren't going to do more than one day's worth of worksheets at a time though. That is going to be a standard rule now. It leads to too much burn out. I have already purchased the fourth grade book in this same series. It is set up a little differently and is not pre-divided into daily sets for you, it is sectioned according to subject so we will be ripping pages out of each section everyday which will be funky. I like judging how far along we are by how many pages are ripped out of the front of the book. Now the actual book will be a mess.

It is really starting to sink in that we are leaving here in a couple of weeks. I thought I would be half packed up by now in anticipation. I am not. I still have some more sorting and organizing to do. I need to hurry up and get that all finished.
