Room To Move
This weekend I finally got some things rearranged. Things that were long over due. Well, when I say I…I mean we. I had some help. Some pretty help. I snapped this picture when he wasn’t looking. It is a little blurry but I just couldn’t help myself.

It only took an hour for him to take it apart and put it back together in Logan’s new room. Logan loves his room. It is the first room he has had all to himself since he was twelve. He did a little dance when he saw it. Don’t tell him I told you.

It is in need of bookshelves and maybe a dresser but for the most part this is all he cares about anyway. A place for his computer and guitars and where he can shut the door and hide out for a while.
I am happy for him. He needed it.

The girls now have more room for their junk. They also need some bookshelves and a computer desk or something equivalent. It is just going to take one step at a time. It is coming together though.
This weekend was good. I spent it at the farm, of course. Friday night was very nice. We spent some time catching up and then ended up going out for a late dinner. We have been together seven months and with all the crazy stuff going on in our separate lives it is nice to just relax and enjoy refocusing our attention on each other. He seems to always know just what I need.
We went mushroom hunting on Saturday and I got to be lost in the woods for a while. That was nice. Peaceful. We found over a hundred mushrooms but since it had rained a lot last week some of them couldn’t be saved. I am not half bad at spotting them. I liked it a lot. It reminded me of being a kid. I hadn’t been mushroom hunting since I was very little. I got a good workout climbing over and under trees and through the brush and we were out there for a couple of hours.
I love his smile. He says I am crazy. I do enjoy making him let me take pictures of him. He is right, I am pretty crazy… about him.
I grilled steaks Saturday evening while he mowed and then after dinner we came to my house so that he could help me get Logan’s bed moved. It was very sweet of him to offer to help me. It came apart and went back together much more quickly than I remember it going up.
Sunday he finished mowing and I came home early to clean up the rest of the mess and get the kids rooms finished so that they would be surprised when they got home.
Sunday evening I took a walk with my friend Nic and we caught up on the goings on of our weekends. She hoped we would all walk with her but the kids were all against walking through the cemetery a block over from us so they all elected to hole up in their rooms and enjoy the new arrangement of things. I don’t know if they will ever come back out of their rooms again.
